Tottenham Hotspur face Everton next as they look to put behind them the disappointment of dropping points away at Leicester City.

Spurs were frustrated by the Foxes in their Premier League opener as the visitors failed to capitalise on their dominant first half.

Ange Postecoglou’s side will have been left with plenty of worries about their performance and will need to correct them against Everton.

The Toffees had a terrible opening gameweek as they were trounced at home to Brighton losing 3-0 to the away side.

Sean Dyche’s side now face a tough trip to North London which is made even more tricky by their latest injury crisis.

Everton without Jarrad Branthwaite and facing injury crisis

Dyche has revealed that Everton will be without Jarrad Branthwaite and four others for their game against Tottenham. Meanwhile, Ashley Young is also suspended and James Tarkowski is a doubt with a hamstring injury.

In his press conference ahead of Spurs, Dyche said: “Jarrad [Branthwaite] is still a bit away. He’s not close at the moment.”

The Everton boss confirmed James Garner, Seamus Coleman, Youssef Chermiti, and Nathan Patterson were the quartet who would also be missing.

No Branthwaite is a major blow for Everton as he has proven himself as one of the top defenders in the league. Manchester United had a £45 million bid rejected for him back in July, according to the Guardian.

How Tottenham will line-up vs Everton

Pedro Porro looks set to be fit to face Everton as the defender was spotted back in training with the squad.

Postecoglou may opt to swap his wingers with Brennan Johnson and Heung-min Son proving to be far too predictable against Leicester.

Wilson Odobert is also in line to make his debut having missed the game against Leicester as he awaited his new work permit.

In midfield, Spurs fans have called for Lucas Bergvall to start and Archie Gray could also partner him, with Yves Bissouma returning from suspension.
