Tottenham Hotspur lose in the Premier League to Ipswich Town, in what was a rather embarrassing defeat for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Tottenham players weren’t amazing against Ipswich, there was a sea of mediocre performances. Radu Dragusin was criticised by Spurs fans, Heung-min Son was off the pace and, in general, no one stepped up to the mark on a bleak afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It’s a really peculiar one, considering just last week Ange Postecoglou was on top of the world with his Spurs side defeating the likes of Manchester City and Aston Villa.
A lot comes down to individuals in the Tottenham first-team squad. One of which was usually the ever-reliable Cristian Romero – who did not have his best game in white against the Tractor Boys.

Jamie O’Hara criticises Cristian Romero vs Ipswich
The Argentine is usually one of Tottenham’s standout performers but definitely wasn’t at his best on Sunday afternoon.
Romero had a particularly bad moment for the first Ipswich goal, where it’s safe to say he just got things completely wrong.
Former Tottenham Hotspur star Jamie O’Hara agreed with this sentiment. He said on Sky Sports News [4:07 PM GMT]: “Yeah, I think you miss Van de Ven, but he has had a couple of off games.
“I don’t mind Dragusin. I think Romero is a bit of a problem because he goes wandering, he goes all over the place.
“And I think for the first goal, Dragusin is actually trying to stop the cross and Romero ends up coming across and defending at the near post. It goes over his head.”
It was an uncharacteristic mistake from Romero, and he’ll definitely be kicking himself about it.
