Darren Ambrose has suggested that Richarlison is running out of chances in Tottenham’s first team.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the pundit admitted he really wasn’t sure whether the forward could ever turn things around in North London.
Richarlison had scored 53 goals in 152 games for Everton prior to his £60 million move to Tottenham last summer.

However, the Brazilian only managed one goal in the Premier League last season and that didn’t arrive until the 4-3 win over Liverpool in April. Richarlison has already matched that tally this time round, though is opportunities in the starting line-up are becoming more limited as he continues to disappoint.
“He didn’t play a lot last season. And this season, Ange has started with him. You can see Ange trying to back him and say, ‘look he’s trying to get in the positions, he’ll come good’. I don’t know anymore.
“I backed him and I’ve said ‘he’ll score goals because he does get the chance, when he stops getting the chances that’s when you’ve got to worry’. He can’t keep getting the chances and keep missing, because there comes a point – and it has happened – that you get dragged or you don’t play anymore.”
Will Richarlison ever make it work?
Richarlison is a very frustrating one, as he showed his talent at Goodison Park and has previously done really well for the Brazil national team too. The 26-year-old netted three goals in only four games at the World Cup, yet can’t hit a barn door at Spurs.

While everyone wants him to succeed, there is only so much patience we can have with him. The likes of Brennan Johnson and Alejo Veliz will be vying for their place in the squad and eventually we will have to accept that it isn’t going to work here for Richarlison.
