Tottenham summer signing Alejo Veliz has reportedly impressed manager Ange Postecoglou and the exciting prospect has been used in the first team a lot sooner than expected.
Tottenham made a lot of transfers in the summer as they looked to rebuild after a poor campaign in all competitions last season.
Alejo Veliz signed for Spurs in early August for around £13million and The Athletic have now reported that Ange Postecoglou did not expect to use the 20 year-old for the first half of the season.
Apparently, injuries and his performances in training have ‘fast-tracked’ Veliz into Postecoglou’s plans. The report goes on to say that “there’s excitement at what Postecoglou can do with a player who is smart with his movement and excellent in the air.”

This latest news around the Tottenham striker will no doubt massively excite fans of the club. The Argentinian looks to be even better than Spurs thought he was when they signed him.
It is great that Postecoglou is not fearful to use him after seeing him impress in training and this has already seen Veliz used twice this season. With other attackers like Richarlison failing to impress, Veliz definitely has a chance.
Veliz managed 19 goals for his old club Rosario Central and with a progressive manager coaching him he can definitely reach his high ceiling.
There is a great feel around Tottenham at the moment, with the club top of the Premier League and still undefeated eight games in.
With the North London club playing at such a high level, it emphasises even more what a top talent Veliz is for him to be fast tracked into their plans.
Hopefully, the forward can get a goal sooner rather than later to fill him with even more confidence than he currently already has.
