Tottenham travel to Old Trafford this weekend to face off against top-four rivals Manchester United.

Having returned to winning ways last weekend, Ange Postecoglou will be looking to continue that positive trend when they meet Erik ten Hag’s side.

Postecoglou changed his tactics against Brentford, with his decision to move James Maddison deeper ultimately working a treat as the Englishman rounded off an impressive 3-1 victory with a calm-chipped finish.

With Tottenham sat tenth heading into the weekend and Man United just one place below them in 11th, the Lilywhites will see Sunday’s clash as the perfect opportunity to kick start their season with a statement win away at their rivals.

The Red Devils are not the huge force they once were but all Spurs fans know, any trip to Old Trafford should not be underestimated.

Team/injury news

Wilson Odobert’s injury against Coventry means he will miss the Man United clash with injury, with the new Spurs signing set to be sidelined until late October.

Brazilian forward Richarlison will also not make the trip to Old Trafford, having been on the treatment table since picking up an injury in the build-up to the Newcastle game.

Tottenham’s win over Brentford also saw the return of Yves Bissouma from injury and the Mali international could replace Rodrigo Bentancur at the base of midfield this Sunday.

Man United meanwhile have some injury concerns of their own with the likes of Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw still unavailable for selection.
