Tottenham Hotspur dismantled Manchester United on Sunday afternoon in one of the best performances under Ange Postecoglou.
The focus has now turned to the Europa League as Tottenham Hotspur prepare to take on Ferencvaros.
Spurs have made the trip to Hungary and will hope for a repeat of Sunday’s demolition of Manchester United.
Micky van de Ven’s incredible assist found Brennan Johnson for the opener before Dejan Kulusevski capped off an ‘unreal’ performance with a goal.
Dominic Solanke added number three to cap off a 3-0 Tottenham victory at Old Trafford with Spurs completely dominating United.
So many Tottenham players have come in for huge praise and now it’s Micky van de Ven’s turn…

Harry Redknapp on Micky van de Ven
Defender Van de Ven grabbed headlines with this remarkable run through the United midfield to set up Johnson’s goal.
The Dutchman is simply too fast for most Premier League players and blazed through the United side before having the quality to find Johnson.
Van de Ven is so big, strong, fast and reads the game well, so Tottenham seem to have the complete package at the back.
Harry Redknapp has now praised Van de Ven whilst speaking to TalkSPORT (30/09, 9:40am).
Redknapp suggested that Van de Ven has been a ‘great signing’ for Tottenham since arriving from Wolfsburg last summer.
Redknapp added his amazement that Van de Ven didn’t start for the Netherlands at Euro 2024.
The former Tottenham boss added that Van de Ven is a ‘proper player’, hailing him as a Rolls Royce having impressed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“He looks a great signing. What amazed me is during the Euros this year, he couldn’t get into the Dutch team,” said Redknapp.
“I was shocked. I thought ‘hang on, how are they that good that he can’t get into the team?’ Surely they will find a place for him somewhere, if you played three at the back, or you could play him at left-back even. He looks a Rolls-Royce, proper player,” he added.
Van de Ven’s time for the Netherlands will come
Van de Ven did appear off the bench at Euro 2024 but he will have to be patient in waiting for his big chance.
Ronald Koeman lined up with Virgil van Dijk and Stefan de Vrij at centre back with Nathan Ake forming a back three from the left side.
Van de Ven could feasibly play the Ake role, as Redknapp suggested, but his time will come at centre back.
Van Dijk is now 33 and De Vrij will turn 33 himself in February and the pair may be coming to the end of their Netherlands careers.
Van de Ven will be banging on the door for a starting role at the World Cup in 2026 and if his Tottenham form is anything to go by, he will be hard to ignore.
