Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has admitted he loves to watch Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez.
A huge clash awaits these two sides on the weekend when Tottenham travel to Villa Park in a battle for the top four.
But it seems there will be a lot of mutual respect between the goalkeepers following Guglielmo Vicario’s latest comments.

Vicario lauds Martinez
Heading into the weekend, the Italian shotstopper has spoken to ESPN about some of the Premier Legaue goalkeepers which he admires.
And, as it happens, one of the players he loves to watch is his opposing goalkeeper on the weekend, Martinez.
There is some irony in Vicario’s comments considering Spurs were linked with a move for the £20m Villa man last summer.
Had Daniel Levy secured his signature, Vicario would not be playing his football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
When asked who his favourite Premier League goalkeepers were, he said: [Aston Villa’s] Emi Martínez and [Liverpool’s] Alisson are for me the two top keepers in the league so if I have to say someone, I say these two guys because they are doing unbelievable, they play with risk, take risks playing from the back, they are very brave to go out and to clear situations so of course I look to other keepers.”

Vicario impressing on and off the pitch
Having signed in the summer for £17m, there is an argument for the Spurs goalkeeper to be one of the signings of the summer.
He had huge boots to fill in replacing Hugo Lloris, but he has had no issues since stepping foot in north London.
Vicario has already received praise from some of his peers in the goalkeeping union, but it is perhaps just as much what he’s doing off the pitch which will earn the love of the Spurs fans.
The 27-year-old was recently spotted at The Hive earlier this week to watch on-loan Josh Keeley play for National League Barnet.
His work on the pitch has been impressive enough, but placing a real interest in the club will endear him to the Spurs faithful.
The football on display from Spurs has provided fans a lot of optimism under Ange Postecoglou. And seeing the new arrivals settle in quickly has been a big part of their success this season.
