Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was spotted watching on-loan goalkeeper Josh Keeley for Barnet on Tuesday night.

Ange Postecoglou will be delighted with the way his summer signing Guglielmo Vicario has adapted to life in England.

And it seems the Italian is taking a keen interest to the club’s young prospects after watching on in the National League.

Vicario watches on-loan prospect

According to Lilywhite Rose, the 27-year-old Spurs goalkeeper was spotted at The Hive on Tuesday night for Barnet’s game against Rochdale.

Barnet are flying high in the fifth-tier of English football and were able to take all three points on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old, Keeley, joined Barnet on loan in January until the end of the campaign and has already made 11 appearances for them.

Perhaps Vicario acted as a good luck charm as the game on Tuesday night was just Keeley’s second clean sheet since joining Barnet.

Vicario setting the example

It has been a sensational start to life in north London for the Italian goalkeeper who landed in the summer from Empoli.

Filling the boots left behind of Hugo Lloris was always going to be a huge task, but he has done just that.

On the pitch, Vicario is establishing himself as one of the standout goalkeepers in the Premier League.

But Spurs fans will also appreciate the effort he is putting in off the field.

Not only has he now shown an interest in the rising stars of the Spurs academy, but he has also aimed a cheeky dig at Tottenham’s rivals.

Having been awarded the Goalkeeper of the Year award at the London Football Awards, the 27-year-old couldn’t help but aim a jibe at Arsenal.

They often say you’ve got to be mad to be a goalkeeper, and Vicario is certainly proving himself to be quite the character.
