Archie Gray is one of Tottenham’s two new faces through the door this summer and his signing has certainly excited a lot of the club’s supporters.

Archie Gray arrives from Leeds United with a big reputation having lit up the Championship last season aged just 18 years old.

Tottenham paid £40 million to sign Gray from Leeds, indicating just how highly they rate the teenager, and he is expected to play a big role under Ange Postecoglou this season.

The 18-year-old flew out with Tottenham for their pre-season tour of Asia and he will have another chance to impress the manager in their first game of the tour against Vissel Kobe on July 27.

Ahead of the trip, Gray has been discussing which Tottenham players he is most looking forward to playing alongside.

Archie Gray lauds Tottenham ‘role models’ Heung-min Son and Ben Davies

Gray has revealed that he is most looking forward to playing alongside Heung-min Son and Ben Davies.

Both have become very important senior figures at the club with Son now the captain and Davies having just hit 10 years at Spurs.

The midfielder has already featured alongside the duo in pre-season matches against Hearts and Queens Park Rangers.

He will now get to spend proper time with Davies and Son, plus the rest of the squad, as the team are currently on camp in Asia.

Speaking to Tottenham Hotspur’s official YouTube channel, Gray said: “Getting to know everyone has been a bit crazy! I’ve been watching them on TV since I was 15, 16 and even younger.

“But especially for people like Ben (Davies) and (Heung-min) Son, people I’ve looked up to and it’s just mental I’ll hopefully be playing with them.”

Archie Gray makes impressive start to life at Tottenham

Tottenham fans were delighted with Gray’s pre-season debut against Hearts and he followed it up with another strong display against QPR.

In both games, Gray was even used out of his natural position, as he featured at centre-back – yet still managed to impress.

Despite playing in an unfamiliar role, the former Leeds man performed well and has looked defensively solid throughout both matches.

Whilst at Elland Road – the midfielder was also used as a right-back, which looks to have improved the defensive side of his game.

Despite his age and slight inexperience in the top flight, Gray is still expected to play a big role under Postecoglou this season as the club make their return to European action.
