Tottenham Hotspur duo Dejan Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma are close to receiving yellow card suspensions and Ange Postecoglou must warn them.
Postecoglou’s squad is already thin enough given the injuries and suspensions they carrying. Tottenham were without five starters against Fulham with Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dominic Solanke all missing.
Spurs cannot afford to be missing any more players so Kulusevski and Bissouma will need to be on their best behaviour across the club’s next few Premier League matches.

Dejan Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma’s suspension risk
Dejan Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma are both two yellow cards away from receiving a one-match Premier League ban. Both midfielders are currently sat on three yellow cards after 13 matches.
The duo have six league matches to avoid being handed two separate yellow cards and subsequently being banned. Tottenham saw how bad life could be without Kulusevski against Fulham as he was only fit enough for the bench.
Meanwhile, with Rodrigo Bentancur suspended, Spurs cannot afford to lose Yves Bissouma too, which would leave Archie Gray as Postecoglou’s only number six option. Micky van de Ven is on four yellow cards so when the Dutch defender finally returns from his hamstring injury he will really need to be careful.
After gameweek 19, the yellow card suspension threshold climbs up to ten bookings after 32 matches which results in a two-match ban. Yellow card suspensions do not carry across to the FA Cup or Carabao Cup.
Three Spurs stars at risk of European suspension
In Europe, three Spurs players are at risk of being banned for one match with Bissouma, Kulusevski and Bentancur all on two yellow cards. Bentancur is currently only allowed to play in UEFA competitions as he serves his seven-match ban from the FA.
Postecoglou will be desperate to avoid losing Kulusevski and Bentancur who are both key players in the Europa League. The Lilywhites face some tough away trips and will need their best players available.
Next up, is Rangers away which will be a feisty encounter against Postecoglou’s former arch-enemy at Celtic, Rangers. The North London club are one point off Rangers who are sat in eighth place, adding an extra bit of spice to the clash at Ibrox.
