Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has provided reporters with an injury update on forgotten man Bryan Gil.
Spurs are currently lacking in options on the wings, with Brennan Johnson picking up an injury in the North London Derby a few weeks ago, whilst Manor Solomon picked up a groin injury which is set to keep him out for three months.
There was also an injury to veteran Ivan Perisic, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament and is likely to be out for the rest of the season.
Bryan Gil set to return

In a bit of good fortune for both player and manager, Postecoglou is hoping to welcome the return of Spanish winger Bryan Gil, who has previously picked up a number of small injuries in the Australian’s time at the club.
Postecoglou has now given a positive update on Gil, whom he says has been ‘unfortunate’.
“He’s been a bit unfortunate in that, pretty much since the start of pre-season, he’s had a couple of injuries that haven’t allowed him to train with the team,” Postecoglou told London World.
“He had a good year last year away from here and he certainly plays in a position where guys with his attributes can fit into our structure.
“It’ll be good to see Bryan getting up to speed over the next couple of weeks, training with the team and then, obviously with Ivan going down, we’re one down in those wide areas so having him at the club is certainly beneficial.”
Ange will be happy to have Bryan Gil back
Having Gil back will be good news for Postecoglou.
As aforementioned, there is a current lack of options on the wing, and Gil will most certainly be a decent option off the bench.
Primarily a left winger, Gil spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla, who Spurs bought him from back in the summer of 2021.
