Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has featured very little for Spurs so far this season.

He has only started one game in all competitions this season, playing the first half in the EFL Cup defeat to Fulham at the end of August, before being hooked off at half-time.

He returned to the match day squad for the first time since then on Saturday in the 1-0 win away at Luton Town, as an unused substitute. He spent a month on the sidelines

But it appears we may see more of him soon.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Lo Celso is still of interest from Catalan giants Barcelona, with their manager Xavi an admirer of the Argentinian.

However, a deal remains complicated due to his situation at Spurs changing ‘radically’, with manager Ange Psitecoglou said to be ‘betting on him’.

It is said that it would take an ‘important financial offer’ to tempt chairman Daniel Levy to sell. But with Barca’s financial situation, a deal seems to be ‘unfeasible’ at this moment in time.

Could we see more of Giovani Lo Celso?

Lo Celso has been very unused but it appears Postecoglou may rely on him a bit more in the coming months.

With injuries to Manor Solomon and Brennan Johnson, there have been a few injuries starting to mount in the Spurs squad, so Postecoglou may be looking to delve into the rest of his squad. Yves Bissouma will also be suspended after being sent off against Luton.

Lo Celso is undoubtedly a top quality player still, despite spending the last year-and-a-half away on loan in Spain, with Villarreal.

The 27-year-old has been called up to the Argentina squad the upcoming internationals, so Postecoglou will be hoping he does not pick up an injury whilst he’s away
