Eric Dier has really fallen out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The 29-year-old is yet to make a competitive appearance for Tottenham this season and has featured in just three Premier League squads under Ange Postecoglou.
This has led to major speculation that he’ll be one of the first to depart in January, with reports stating Jose Mourinho would like to reunite with him in Roma.
But could another duo reassemble? Another European giant are allegedly interested in Dier’s signature.

Bayern Munich interested in Eric Dier
According to a report from the German publication, Bild – Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on Eric Dier.
Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is apparently keen on luring the centre-half over to Germany.
The report states that Dier was given the opportunity to leave Spurs in the summer but decided against departing in favour of fighting for his place.
However, after the start of the season and a severe lack of game time, an exit could definitely be on the cards.
Tuchel’s priority in January is a centre-half, and Dier could be the perfect option.
He could follow Harry Kane
Harry Kane obviously departed to Munich in the summer, so Dier could definitely be enticed over there by his former teammate.
He has been thriving over there, scoring nine goals in the Bundesliga so far. Bayern however currently sit third, so are looking for some defensive firepower to join their ranks in case of injuries.
Dier’s contract at Tottenham expires in June next year meaning the Germans could potentially get a pre-contract sorted, which would get his services on a free.
It would also be beneficial for Spurs, as it gets him off the wage bill. This could be the ideal solution for all parties involved. We’ll be following this one closely.
