Dejan Kulusevski has been spotted back in Tottenham Hotspur training after missing the Manchester United game over the weekend.

The 23-year-old missed out on the trip to Old Trafford through illness, with Ange Postecoglou admitting several Tottenham players had struggled that week.

The Aussie boss claimed Kulusevski ‘copped the worst of it’ while the likes of Oliver Skipp and Destiny Udogie were passed fit to play on Sunday.

Tottenham missed the Swede’s creativity in midfield at Old Trafford and despite a dominant performance, they didn’t create enough to win the game.

But after his absence on Sunday, it would appear that Kulusevski is over the worst of his illness as he’s back in training at Hotspur Way.

In a video posted on Tottenham’s official website, Kulusevski was spotted back amongst the first-team in training yesterday.

The forward was spotted in the gym alongside his teammates and then back on the grass at Hotspur Way, where he displayed some fancy footwork to evade a challenge from Skipp.

Spurs’ next clash is a big one as they face Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup next Friday.

There is hope that Maddison will also be involved as he ramps up his recovery following an ankle injury

Nevertheless, it’s a good sign to see Kulusevski back in training with plenty of time to spare before next week’s game.

The £25 million man has proven to be a key player under Postecoglou this term and his absence was felt at Old Trafford last weekend.

With Giovani Lo Celso also sidelined, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Kulusevski moved back into a central position next week.

The Swede has performed well in that creative midfield role and it’s a position he has admitted he likes to play.
