Tottenham Hotspur produced an exceptional display by beating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Ange Postecoglou headed to the North West In search of a first away league win of the season for Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs squandered opportunities at Leicester City and Newcastle United, taking just one point from those two away games.

Tottenham were much better against United though and took an early chance with Brennan Johnson scoring after Micky van de Ven’s unbelievable run.

Bruno Fernandes receiving a red card certainly helped Tottenham and Dejan Kulusevski added a deserved second after the break.

Dominic Solanke added number three as Tottenham picked up just a fifth Premier League win at Old Trafford.

Gary Neville on Mikey Moore

Tottenham were superb throughout and goalscorer Kulusevski was particularly influential in midfield.

Postecoglou was even able to bring on Mikey Moore in the second half as the teenager came on down the left flank.

The 17-year-old didn’t look overawed at all and showed a glimpse of his potential on a big stage.

Pundit Gary Neville was impressed with Moore too and praised the Tottenham teenager late in the game.

Speaking on Sky Sports (29/09, 18:26), Neville noted that Moore had looked ‘sharp’ after coming on.

The winger whipped a superb shot just wide of the post and Neville felt that he looked like an ‘interesting’ player up against Noussair Mazraoui.

The Moroccan is an experienced full back but Neville felt that Moore contributed to a ‘tough’ afternoon for Mazraoui.

“He’s been sharp since he came on, Mikey Moore,” said Neville.

“Beautiful curling shot, just a yard too wide, but he’s looked interesting in this game over on that far side against Mazraoui. It’s been tough for the full back,” he added.

Moore may receive another Tottenham chance this week

Moore should be pleased with his cameo against United as he continues his development this season.

There is plenty of excitement around Moore and Neville clearly spotted his talent and potential.

Moore will be looking for another chance in just a few days as Tottenham travel to take on Ferencvaros in the Europa League.

Postecoglou may be reluctant to throw Son Heung-min back into action after he missed out at Old Trafford.

Timo Werner may start again but the option of giving Moore a start – or an extended appearance off the bench – will be there for Postecoglou.

The trip to Hungary will not be an easy one but Postecoglou will be delighted with how Moore handled himself at Old Trafford – and will back him in big games moving forward.
