West Ham and Tottenham will renew their rivalry this weekend, and both teams need points for very different reasons.
West Ham are seven points adrift of the team in 17th place after last week’s 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest, whilst Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank desperately needs to keep the chairman from his door!
Tottenham sit in 14th place in the Premier League table, and for a club currently playing Champions League football, that simply won’t do for the expectant fan base.
Jermaine Jenas believes Frank will be sacked soon, and a defeat to West Ham on home soil would almost certainly see the curtain come down on his tenure at the club.
Now, the Hammers are eyeing a Tottenham player this month, and it would appear that they’re not the only club looking to raid Spurs before the window slams shut.

West Ham eye Antonin Kinsky
According to Football London, West Ham have nudged ahead of Wolves in the race to sign Kinsky from Tottenham before the transfer window closes.
The Hammers are looking for a reinforcement between the posts, with doubts over Alphonse Areola and Mads Hermansen so far this season.
Other interest comes from Auxerre, Besiktas and Freiburg and it does appear as though Kinsky will be departing North London before the transfer window grinds to a halt.
Frank has previously said that Kinsky has a bright future ahead of him and remains part of the club’s plans but the player’s desire to play regularly might dictate a departure.
Spurs will need to replace Kinsky
It’s fair to say that Kinsky will want to play regular games again, but Spurs can’t afford to let their backup stopper leave without a replacement being added.
The 22-year-old has only played 12 games for the club, with the majority of those outings coming under former boss Ange Postecoglou.
Change our mind: Tottenham must pay whatever it takes to SACK Thomas Frank…
Kinsky showcased some quality when he was called upon for Tottenham and he will want to ensure that his development doesn’t stagnate by remaining as a backup goalkeeper.
If he did sign for West Ham, it would be intriguing, especially if the Hammers decided to try and do a deal before their trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
