Tottenham Hotspur are going to need a serious summer rebuild regardless of what division the club finds itself in.

Currently, Spurs are fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League and claimed a maiden win of 2026 against Wolves at the weekend.

It would appear as though Tottenham are busy compiling a number of different shortlists, preparing for every eventuality, and the Premier League links do feel exciting.

🤕Who should replace Xavi Simons in the team after his devastating injury prognosis?

Andy Robertson has been linked with Tottenham, whilst Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi is also being courted by Spurs.

Now, another Premier League player is on the radar ahead of a potential summer move, and a host of top-flight clubs are watching him.

Tottenham aware of Yoane Wissa situation

According to Flash Score, Newcastle could consider cashing in on Wissa just 12 months after pushing the boat out to land him from Brentford.

His maiden season at St James’ Park hasn’t been a good one, with just one Premier League goal being scored from 15 appearances.

Wissa clearly has a good goalscoring record in the Premier League from his time with Brentford, but he’s been unable to live up to the £55 million price tag following his move north.

Tottenham are keen on landing Wissa if they stay in the Premier League and are among a host of clubs aware of his situation.

Spurs have had a number of injuries to attacking options this season, and the fact that Wissa missed a lot of this season with injury is a minor concern.

However, it’s fair to say that with the right manager and in the right style of play, Wissa could still be a success should he leave Newcastle in the summer.

What Thomas Frank said about Yoane Wissa

Signing Wissa last summer might have been more ideal when his former Brentford boss Frank was still in the Tottenham hot seat.

He previously called him ‘incredible’ during his time at the G-Tech Community Stadium, and Wissa played the best football of his career under the former Spurs boss.

Whether Tottenham can win the race to sign him in the summer remains to be seen, but first, the club have to make sure they’re a Premier League club in order to attract a player of his quality.
