Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to launch a big money swoop for a Premier League striker this summer.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have enjoyed a much improved season this time out, but have been unable to find a direct replacement for Harry Kane.
Having seen their record goalscorer depart in the summer transfer window for Bayern Munich, Richarlison has taken on the role as the club’s striker.
However, it seems as if Daniel Levy and co are now looking to make a statement move in the coming months to really bolster their attacking line.
Tottenham showing interest in Alexander Isak
Spurs have already been linked with a host of names ahead of the summer transfer window with the likes of Ivan Toney and Santiago Gimenez both names believed to be of interest.
Richarlison has provided a steady return for Tottenham up top, but his injury issues have been a concern with the striker’s recent game time hindered.
Ahead of the trip to West Ham tonight, it seems as if the 26-year-old could finally be ready to return to the starting XI.
But now, reports are suggesting that Tottenham are eyeing Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak as an option for the summer.
It is claimed both Spurs and Arsenal are keen on the Swede, but it could cost them in the region of £100m to prise him away from Tyneside.
Manager Eddie Howe has already warned clubs that the 24-year-old is not up for sale ahead of the summer.

What Dejan Kulusevski said about Alexander Isak
The Sweden international is a player who has seriously impressed since making the move to St. James’ Park from Real Sociedad.
Isak became Newcastle record transfer at £63m back in 2022, but it has been money well spent so far for the Toon.
The 24-year-old is enjoying another bright season in the Premier League having netted 14 times in his 21 league appearances.
To put that into perspective, that is just one less goal than Heung-min Son has returned this term.
Here is a summary of Isak’s returns since making the move to England almost two years ago.
- 58 appearances
- 28 goals
- 4 assists
- 24 Premier League goals
- 2 FA Cup goals
- 1 Champions League goal
- 2 goals vs Tottenham

And he is, of course, a player that Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski will know all too well having played alongside him in the Sweden national side.
Speaking about him a couple of years ago before he moved to Newcastle, Kulusevski hailed the 24-year-old striker as being able to do it all.
He said: “He’s good at everything. Good at combining, he is fast. He is good at winning nick duels as we saw today. He is very easy to play with.”
Isak is clearly a player in a demand going into the summer, but prising him off Howe’s hands could prove to be a huge challenge for any side.
