Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to offer Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly a contract ahead of a possible free transfer move this summer.

That’s according to HITC Football, with the outlet sharing the latest on Tottenham’s interest in the centre-back.

Spurs have already moved to snap up that much-need third man in central defence after landing Radu Dragusin from Genoa last month.

But interest in Lloyd Kelly remains ahead of the summer window, with the 25-year-old’s current deal at the Vitality Stadium set to expire at the end of the season.

Tottenham readying free transfer swoop for Kelly

HITC Football reports that Kelly is weighing up his future ahead of him becoming a free agent this summer.

It’s noted that Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle United have all indicated they are willing to make offers for the defender.

Kelly is also attracting interest from AC Milan, Juventus, AS Roma and Napoli, as well as clubs from Germany.

Tottenham’s technical director Johan Lange is said to be a huge admirer of Kelly. The defender has impressed on the south coast and it’s no surprise to see a host of top clubs circling ahead of the summer.

Nevertheless, it would be a surprise to see the ‘outstanding‘ centre-back opt for a move to Spurs over the other clubs listed above.

That’s mainly down to the fact that he will face stern competition for a place in the side after the arrival of Dragusin.

Dragusin is yet to start a game for Spurs since joining from Genoa due to the returns of both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in recent weeks.

Spurs may move for another central defender but you’d imagine it will be a tough gig to sell considering any addition is likely to be fourth choice.

We do have some talented young defenders coming through the ranks at the moment though, including the likes of Alfie Dorrington and Ashley Phillips.
