Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in the Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah ahead of the summer window.

Defensive additions have been a big part of Ange Postecoglou’s project in north London and it seems the Australian is not satisfied just yet.

And the Bundesliga is a market which Spurs are seemingly looking to tap into after enjoying recent success with the purchase of Micky van de Ven.

Tottenham keen on Jonathan Tah

According to journalist Christian Falk, Tottenham are keeping an eye on the Bayer Leverkusen centre-back as one of their potential options for the summer.

Writing in his column for Caught Offside, the journalist has reported interest coming from the Premier League in the 28-year-old German.

However, there may be some obstacles for Postecoglou’s side to overcome if they are to land the centre-back.

As well as interest from Liverpool, it is said Tah would only leave Leverkusen for another Champions League club.

But the positive comes in that he would be keen to make a move to the Premier League.

He is a player who could provide a great altnernative for Van de Ven with Tah having been clocked as recording a quicker highest speed than Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli.

Exciting times at Spurs

There has been a number of defenders already being linked with a potential move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

And there is a serious range of players who are being linked with The Spurs News understanding the Lilywhites still hold an interest in expected free agents Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo.

However, there has also been links with some more valuable options such as Tah’s Leverkusen teammate Edmond Tapsoba.

This comes just weeks after Daniel Levy was able to bring in the exciting Romanian prospect Radu Dragusin to bolster Postecoglou’s options.

And this has to provide Spurs fans with a lot of optimism for things to come in the near future with the board and the manager finally looked like they’re singing off the same sheet.
