Tottenham Hotspur are keen to bring in the 18-year-old Barcelona prospect Dani Rodriguez in the summer.

Spurs have already come toe-to-toe with the Spanish giants in recent months over the signing of Lucas Bergvall.

And now it seems like Daniel Levy is keen to sanction a deal to take one of their exciting prospects from La Masia.

Tottenham keen on Dani Rodriguez

According to reports in Spain, Tottenham are seriously keen to bring over the 18-year-old talent from Barcelona.

And it is said the La Liga giants are already fearful that Spurs are capable of doing just that in the summer.

With the new vision in place under Ange Postecoglou, it is believed Spurs can provide a more attractive development plan for the youngster.

On top of that, the financial package for Rodriguez would be much more appealing.

Postecoglou’s project

There have been some seriously exciting signings since the Australian was appointed as the Spurs manager.

Even some of the players who have now established themselves in the team like Micky van de Ven, you have to remember he is just 22.

And then there is, of course, Bergvall who will join the Lilywhites in the summer after snubbing Barcelona.

There is clearly a plan in place for Spurs to invest in youth with a long-term vision of success.

However, there has to be some questions beginning to emerge over how this could effect the current crop of Tottenham youth players.

There are some seriously exciting talents at Hotspur Way with the likes of Jamie Donley and Will Lankshear impressively hugely this season.

It has already been suggested Donley could make way for the arrival of Bergvall in the summer. Alasdair Gold said: ‘I’d imagine Jamie [Donley] out of those [Lucas Bergvall & Alfie Devine] will probably will have to go out on loan.’

With this in mind, there has to be the question raised of are Spurs potentially going to waste some of their homegrown talents over the coming years?
