Tottenham Hotspur will kick off pre-season preparations with two new faces as part of Ange Postecoglou’s squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Heart of Midlothian welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Tynecastle on Wednesday evening (July 17th) as pre-season plans take a step forward.
Ange Postecoglou would no doubt love to start pre-season with a win, especially on his return to Scotland.
Fans will be desperate to see new faces Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray in action for Tottenham for the very first time.
Tottenham have made an encouraging start to the window with Bergvall – signed in February – arriving alongside Gray and the returning loanee Timo Werner.
More signings are needed though and whilst nothing appears imminent, one intriguing name has emerged this week.

Tottenham Hotspur ask about Federico Chiesa
Reports after the Gray deal suggested that Tottenham wanted an attacking addition to be the ‘next big transfer’.
Tottenham don’t appear to have made huge progress on that front but reports from Italy indicate that Spurs are keen on one player.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Tottenham have asked about a potential deal for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
It’s claimed that Juventus want to sell Chiesa this summer as his contract expires in 2025.
Rather than lose Chiesa for free in a year’s time, Juventus would like to cash in now.
The Italian newspaper claims that Tottenham – and Chelsea – have enquired into a possible deal for Chiesa.
Alfredo Pedulla claims that Juventus want around €25million (£21million) for Chiesa this summer – an incredibly cheap deal for Tottenham to explore.
Wages and fees may be expensive but the fee itself seems very reasonable for Tottenham this summer.
Primarily a left-sided winger or a player who runs off the striker, Chiesa hit nine goals in Serie A last season and looked to be one of few Italy players to show some quality at Euro 2024.

Fabio Paratici a fan of Chiesa
Any time Tottenham are linked with a player from the Italian market, the mind goes straight to Fabio Paratici.
Paratici may not be Tottenham’s transfer chief after being hit by a ban, but he has continued to serve as a consultant at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Italian may well be a factor here as he was in charge of transfers at Juventus when they snapped up Chiesa from Fiorentina.
Even in 2021 – having left Juventus and joined Tottenham – Paratici spoke of how ‘special’ Chiesa is whilst chatting to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Paratici has clearly held a long-standing admiration for Chiesa and he may feel that Tottenham have a chance for a real bargain here.
Juventus seemingly want to sell and if Tottenham want another versatile forward who can play across the from line, Chiesa could be the man.
