Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to see Sergio Reguilon leave the club but may end up receiving even more interest in another defender.
Tottenham Hotspur were looking to offload two fringe players before the summer transfer window slammed shut.
Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso clearly weren’t wanted under Ange Postecoglou and had no roles to play at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Lo Celso has now gone, completing a move to Real Betis which gives Tottenham the option to sign Johnny Cardoso.
Reguilon hasn’t moved on though and Tottenham are reluctant to bring him back into the fold under Spurs boss Postecoglou.
Fenerbahce are keen on the left back according to Fanatik but another Spurs defender is attracting Turkish interest.

Galatasaray want to sign £10m Tottenham Hotspur player
Turkish newspaper Takvim report that Galatasaray are interested in signing Tottenham defender Ben Davies.
It’s suggested that Galatasaray want to move to a back three system under boss Okan Buruk.
A left-sided centre back is now wanted for that system and Galatasaray have ‘started to test the waters’ for Davies.
Davies actually played against the Turkish national team with Wales just a few days ago.
Galatasaray now fancy signing him with the idea of teaming him up with his former Tottenham teammate Davinson Sanchez before the Turkish transfer deadline on Friday.
Sanchez’s move to Turkiye was eerily similar.
The English transfer window had closed when Tottenham agreed to sell Sanchez to Galatasaray in early September, before winning the title.
Here we are again; Galatasaray want to sign a Tottenham defender to bolster their back line – but this could end a little differently.

Tottenham won’t let Ben Davies go
There may be some temptation to sell Davies.
The Welshman arrived from Swansea City for £10million back in 2014, meaning he has now brought up more than 10 years at the club.
An understated but brilliant servant to the club, Davies hasn’t even played a single minute of Premier League action this term.
Davies isn’t really in contention to take Destiny Udogie’s place and Radu Dragusin’s arrival means he isn’t key cover at centre back right now.
Add in that Davies is out of contract in 2025 and Tottenham may be tempted to cash in now.
Davies is needed though, especially with Reguilon not in the plans under Postecoglou.
Spurs will view Davies not only as great competition for places and a solid player when called upon, but also as a real leader of this group.
Tottenham can’t even replace Davies right now even if he does move on, so we can’t see Postecoglou sanctioning an exit for Davies at this time.
