Tottenham Hotspur confirmed signings, transfers in and out, loan exits, releases for 2023/24

Tottenham Hotspur are set for a busy summer transfer window under their new head coach, Ange Postecoglou. So, keep up to date on all confirmed signings and transfer out of Spurs.

The north Londoners appointed Postecoglou to their helm in June 2023 to fill the void left by Antonio Conte’s dismissal. Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason had initially stood in as the club’s interim manager. But Tottenham could only finish the Premier League season in eighth place.

So, Postecoglou will oversee Spurs’ first term without European football since 2009/10 in his debut season in charge. He will also likely try to make a host of changes to Tottenham’s first-team squad. So, keep up to date on Tottenham’s confirmed signings and transfers out here…

Pedro Porro – Tottenham announced the right-back’s arrival on loan from Sporting Lisbon on January 31. But their swoop for the Spaniard included a £40m obligation to sign the 23-year-old permanently on July 1. He featured in 17 games for three goals and three assists on loan.

Dejan Kulusevski – Tottenham confirmed the permanent signing of the Sweden forward from Juventus for £25.5m on June 17. Spurs re-negotiated the fee for the 23-year-old having held a £29m option during an 18-month loan that yielded seven goals and 16 assists in 57 games.

Guglielmo Vicario – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 26-year-old from FC Empoli on June 27 for an initial £17m. The Italy goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract with Spurs. He moves to north London after two years at Empoli, featuring 14 clean sheets in 71 games.

James Maddison – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 26-year-old from Leicester City for £40m on June 28. The midfielder helped the Foxes lift their first-ever FA Cup in 2021 but failed to avoid their relegation in 2022/23. He left with 55 goals and 41 assists in 203 games.

Manor Solomon – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old in a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk on July 11. Spurs moved for the Israel winger after he offered Fulham four goals in 19 Premier League games whilst on loan in west London during the 2022/23 season.

Ashley Phillips – Tottenham sealed the signing of the 18-year-old from Blackburn Rovers on August 5. Spurs triggered a £2m release clause in the centre-back’s contract at Ewood Park. He left Rovers as an England U19 international and after 14 first-team games over 2022/23.

Micky van de Ven – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old from VfL Wolfsburg on August 8. Spurs paid the Bundesliga side an initial £34.5m, rising to £43m, for the centre-half. He left Die Wolfe after two years after 41 games, including sporadic outings at left-back.

Alejo Veliz – Tottenham secured a £13m transfer from Rosario Central for the 19-year-old on August 8. The forward also agreed to sign a six-year contract for his first move away from his academy club. Veliz left Rosario with 19 goals in 62 senior games after debuting in July 2021.

Harry Winks – Leicester City confirmed the £10m signing of the 27-year-old from Tottenham on July 1. The midfielder joined the Foxes following their relegation to the Championship on a three-year contract. The Spurs product left north London with five goals over 203 matches.

Harry Kane – Bayern Munich announced the arrival of the 30-year-old from Tottenham in an initial £86m transfer on August 12. The striker’s switch could reach £100m after add-ons. He left north London as a Tottenham legend with a club-record 280 goals in 435 appearances.

Joe Rodon – Leeds United and Tottenham agreed to a season-long loan transfer for the 25-year-old on August 10. The Whites’ deal for the Wales defender does not include an option or an obligation to buy. Rodon had spent 2022/23 with Stade Rennais for 22 appearances.

Troy Parrott – Excelsior Rotterdam secured a season-long loan transfer from Tottenham for the 21-year-old on August 24. The centre-forward joined the Eredivisie outfit after his spell with Preston North End in 2022/23. He scored three goals in 32 Championship appearances.

Alfie Devine – Port Vale announced the arrival of the 19-year-old on loan from Tottenham for the 2023/24 season on August 25. The attacking midfielder signed with the League One side for his first spell away from Spurs. He has scored once in two senior games for Tottenham.

Djed Spence – Leeds and Tottenham agreed to a second season-long loan deal this summer as the 23-year-old followed Rodon to Elland Road. The right-back helped Nottingham Forest win promotion on loan from Middlesbrough in 2021/22 but only played six games for Spurs.

Dane Scarlett – Ipswich Town confirmed the signing of the 19-year-old on loan for the 23/24 season from Tottenham on August 31. The striker also signed a new contract with Spurs until 2027 before heading away again. Scarlett spent 22/23 on loan with Portsmouth for six goals.

Lucas Moura – Tottenham confirmed on May 18 that the Brazilian was leaving the club at the end of his contract. Spurs signed the 30-year-old from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018 for £23m under Mauricio Pochettino. The winger hit 39 goals and 27 assists in 221 outings.

Spurs published the club’s released and retained list for the 2023/24 season on June 15 with an array of Tottenham’s academy players axed. The youngsters leaving Spurs are as follows:

Every loan deal that Tottenham Hotspur let expire

Arnaut Danjuma – Tottenham elected to let the winger’s loan transfer from Villarreal expire at the end of the 2022/23 season. Spurs had obtained a £27m option to buy the 26-year-old during discussions with his La Liga side in January. But he only started one of his 12 outings.

Clement Lenglet – FC Barcelona sent the 28-year-old on loan to Tottenham for the 2022/23 season in July 2022. But Spurs’ deal for the defender did not feature an option or obligation to buy the Frenchman. Yet Tottenham are keen to secure a permanent transfer for Lenglet.

Roman Egan-Riley – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 16-year-old for their Under-18s academy team on July 4. The prospect joined Spurs from the youth fold at Manchester City.

Herbie James – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 16-year-old for their U18s academy team on July 4. The attacking prospect joined Spurs from the youth fold at Manchester City.

Calum Logan – Tottenham confirmed the signing of the 16-year-old for their U18s academy team on July 4. The centre-half moved to Spurs from the U18s youth team at Ipswich Town.
