Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to hold talks with Barcelona over signing Clement Lenglet on a permanent basis this week.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, with the Spanish outlet claiming that Barca are keen to resolve his future this week.
Lenglet made the switch to Spurs on a season-long loan deal last summer and as things stand, he’s set to return to Camp Nou this month.
The Frenchman performed relatively well, providing a decent option on the left-hand side of Tottenham’s back-three throughout the season.

Sport reported back in March that Tottenham were in advanced talks to snap up Lenglet permanently ahead of the summer window.
There has been little indication since that a move is imminent, but it seems that Barca want to resolve Lenglet’s future as soon as possible.
Tottenham set for Lenglet talks
Mundo Deportivo claims talks over a deal for Lenglet have already taken place between Tottenham and Barca.
It’s noted that there is currently no option for Spurs to buy Lenglet and the La Liga giants want to determine his future this week, with further talks planned.
Lenglet was lauded as a ‘world-class’ defender during the early stages of his Barca career, but he’s struggled to live up to the billing thereafter.
He was frozen out at Camp Nou due to a series of high-profile blunders, but it has to be said that he’s been one of Tottenham’s better defenders this season.

The Spurs News View
It certainly isn’t saying much that Lenglet has been one of Tottenham’s more reliable centre-backs over the past year.
The likes of Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and even Cristian Romero have endured forgettable campaigns.
But the 27-year-old could be a good option for Spurs moving forward, especially if he’s available for a cut-price.
Of course, the need to bring in a top-quality defender or two certainly won’t diminish by signing Lenglet.
Yet, he’s proven he can do a decent enough job and if Ange Postecoglou wants to keep him around, he’d be a good backup option for the Aussie.
