Tottenham have been recently linked to Santiago Gimenez, but now, new reports are suggesting that Barcelona have entered the race for the forward.

There were reports last week from 90min that suggested Tottenham, as well as Arsenal and Real Madrid has scouted Santiago Giminez and were left impressed by the player.

Now, reports from Sport are suggesting that Barcelona have now entered the race for the Mexican international.

The report goes on to say that Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski is set to receive offers from Saudi Arabia and this has sen the Spanish club put Gimenez on their radar as they would need to sign a striker should he leave.

Barcelona enter the race for Spurs target Santiago Gimenez

The Feyenoord striker has been impressing over the last couple of seasons. He recently shone on his Champions League debut, where he managed to score a brace.

The 22-year-old is on fire this season, scoring 13 goals in 10 league matches, and he has also picked up three assists as well.

This is a great record for a player in the Eredivisie and it is no shock to see many top teams interested in the forward.

The ‘fantastic‘ talent would definitely be a top signing for a Spurs side who lost world-class striker Harry Kane in the summer.

Ange Postecoglou has got Heung-min Son working perfectly up top; however, players like Richarlison are not offering much so it would be great to bolster the attack with the signing of Gimenez.

It has been a great start to the season for Tottenham so far, and if they could add some top players in January then there should be hope that they can challenge for the title.
