Tottenham have registered an interest in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
Spurs have been on a quest to find their Harry Kane replacement ever since the England skipper signed for Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023.
Ange Postecoglou has tried both Richarlison and Heung-min Son in the number nine position, even recently trialing out Dejan Kulusesvki as a striker.
Youngsters Will Lankshear and Dane Scarlett have also received minutes during pre-season, Spurs though seem set on further improving their striking roster.

Tottenham target Dominic Solanke

On Thursday evening, Fabrizio Romano hit Spurs supporters with the news that Tottenham are targeting Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the transfer guru stated Spurs were exploring a move for the Cherries man but there is yet to be an official bid placed.
When questioned on the Solanke links, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou told Football.London the striker position was a “focus” for the club, also insisting the striker “has to fit the mould” of Tottenham’s physical and technical demands.
Likely to cost in the region of £60m, Spurs could potentially tempt Bournemouth into a cash-plus player deal with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon seemingly heading for the exit door.
Solanke however is not the only striker Tottenham are keeping tabs on though with Lille’s Jonathan David and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres also attracting interest from the Lilywhites.

What could Solanke move mean for Richarlison?

Tottenham’s pursuit of a new striker matched with interest from Saudi Arabia, Richarlison’s time at Spurs could soon come to an end.
Currently, on the treatment table with a calf injury, the Brazilian struggled at times last season despite scoring eleven league goals.
With Spurs needing to raise funds to fill their striker needs, they may be forced to sell the 27-year-old with clubs in Saudi Arabia reportedly interested.
So with that being said, The Spurs News thought it would be worthwhile taking a look at how Richarlison’s compares to Tottenham’s new attacking target.
| Stats 2023/24 (via fbref) | Richarlison | Dominic Solanke |
| Goals | 12 | 21 |
| Assists | 4 | 4 |
| Shots (per 90) | 3.74 | 2.87 |
| xG: Expected goals (per 90) | 0.58 | 0.53 |
| Key passes (per 90) | 0.91 | 1.06 |
| Games missed due to injury | 10 | 0 |
The stats suggest that despite Solanke playing in a so-called ‘weaker team’, he is still producing more than the Brazilian.
Solanke’s availability and lack of injuries also make him more of an attractive proposition compared to the Spurs man, with injuries plaguing Richarlison’s Tottenham career so far.
If Spurs do make a serious move for the Bournemouth man, it is almost certain that we will see the end of Richarlison’s time in North London.
