Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to match Marcus Rashford’s wage demands in a bid to bring the Manchester United attacker to North London.
The Lilywhites are attacking the transfer window with serious aggression as they look to back Roberto De Zerbi this summer.
🤔 How much should Spurs pay to sign Marcus Rashford?
💷 Tottenham are working on a deal to pay less than his £40m release clause…
Tottenham want to sign both Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, having already brought in Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka.
Signing an attacker seems to be one of the priorities for the North London club, and suddenly, Rashford has emerged as a target.
Tottenham prepared to meet Marcus Rashford’s wage demands
Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to meet Marcus Rashford’s wage demands this summer, according to Samuel Luckhurst.
The 28-year-old’s wages are set to rise to £325k-per-week next month at Manchester United, and Spurs could still move for him.
The attacker has a £40 million release clause at Old Trafford, and Spurs could well move to bring him to North London.
Tottenham have tried to negotiate a lower fee for Rashford, but he could actually prove to be a serious signing for De Zerbi’s team.
👀 I bet you CAN’T name a better midfield pairing in the Premier League than Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes…
🤑 Tottenham want to sign BOTH players!
Right now, work is ongoing to secure two of De Zerbi’s top targets in Tonali and Fernandes, with the attacker deal likely to be done later in the window.
But after Spurs complete a deal for the pair, Rashford could quickly become the focus for the Lilywhites.
Marcus Rashford would be perfect for Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham
Rashford netted 14 goals and produced 14 assists at Barcelona last season, with the England star showing why he remains one of Europe’s best forwards.
Strangely enough, Barca opted against making his deal permanent and instead opted to bring in Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
With Richarlison expected to leave, Spurs need to bring in another forward, and Rashford’s ability to play on the left and through the middle makes him ideal.
