Tottenham are not likely to secure the services of Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson in the January transfer window.
Thomas Frank wanted to bring in a new left-back this month, and it seemed like Tottenham were making progress to sign Robertson.
However, the Reds have decided against letting him leave before the transfer deadline.

According to the BBC, Liverpool did consider a £5m offer from Spurs and a deal was even agreed in principle.
However, it hinged on them being able to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan at Roma, and that has not happened thus far.
The Spurs News looks at three left-backs the club can target instead of Robertson:
Antonee Robinson
Tottenham could turn to Fulham and look to secure the services of their highly-rated left-back Antonee Robinson.
Fill in the blank: After Robertson, Tottenham must target _________
The 28-year-old has been at Craven Cottage since 2020, and may feel that it is now or never for him to move to a bigger club.
He would get regular game time at Spurs and offer Thomas Frank a full-back who is capable of adding width, pace and the ability to whip accurate crosses into the box.
Fulham may play hardball with regard to his exit, but if the United States international wants a move, he is likely to get it.

Dayann Methalie
Toulouse defender Dayann Methalie is understood to be on Newcastle’s radar, according to the Daily Mail.
However, there is no reason why Spurs cannot also look to pry away the 19-year-old who has been labelled one of the best left-backs in Ligue 1.
The France under-21 international is known to be powerful and fast and is also good at attacking space.
He did sign a contract extension until 2030 a few months ago, but the lure of Premier League football may provide him with an opportunity too good to turn down in the coming days.

Luca Netz
TEAMtalk reported that Tottenham have also held talks to secure the services of Borussia Monchengladbach left-back Luca Netz.
The conversations have not reached an advanced stage yet, but it’s understood that the Lilywhites can bring him to the club for a modest fee.
The 22-year-old has been on their radar for a while, and Monchengladbach could look to cash in on him before the transfer window closes as his contract expires at the end of the season.
