Tottenham could look at offloading one of their forwards in the summer transfer window to make room for Raphinha.

It was recently claimed by Paul O’Keefe that the Lilywhites have the Barcelona winger on their shortlist for the summer window.

The transfer expert also suggested Raphinha was not the only forward Spurs have on their radar with the Wolves sensation, Pedro Neto, also catching their eye.

Bryan Gil set for Tottenham exit

O’Keefe took to X on Monday to provide a transfer update following the end of the January market.

Having linked the north London outfit with the likes of Raphinha and Neto, O’Keefe offered some insight on the future of their Spanish winger.

In response to who could potentially make way for a new arrival out wide, he said: “Gil I’d imagine”.

Gil made the move to N17 back in 2021 from Sevilla in a cash-plus player deal that saw Spurs part with £21.6m and Erik Lamela.

But game time has been hard to come by for the 22-year-old under Ange Postecoglou with 221 minutes to show across all competitions.

Gil had been heavily linked with a potential exit from Spurs last month with Brighton & Hove Albion reportedly showing an interest.

However, the Spaniard made it apparent he was keen to remain in north London for the remainder of the campaign to try and earn a spot in Postecoglou’s plans.

This is a player who was praised by Harry Kane during his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Kane said: “He would have been a little bit disappointed after the last game [vs Crystal Palace], but he came out and showed his quality. I’m delighted for him and I’m sure he’ll be ready for the next one.”

The winger did come on towards the end of their draw on Merseyside on the weekend, but was unable to help Spurs see out all three points.

But with the arrivals of Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner this season, it does feel as if the Spaniard’s opportunities at Spurs are slipping away.
