Tottenham are gearing up for the summer transfer window, with Barcelona star Raphinha and Wolves talisman Pedro Neto on their radar, according to expert Paul O Keefe.

It comes as Spurs look to continue building their project under new head coach Ange Postecoglou. The Lilywhites have impressed in the Australian coach’s short reign so far, adopting an entertaining style of play with results that have followed.

Some key transfers have taken place over the past two windows as well, with a young core starting to develop. Micky van de Ven, Brennan Johnson and Guglielmo Vicario have all impressed, while Alejo Veliz and Lucas Bergvall are starlets for the future.

There will still need to be improvements at the end of the season, whether Tottenham finish in the top four or not. That’s where the next transfer window could accelerate the project to new heights when it rolls around.

Raphinha transfer

According to Tottenham expert Paul O Keefe, Spurs have added Barcelona star Raphinha to their shortlist for the summer transfer window. The Brazilian rejected a switch to Chelsea and Arsenal in 2022 to join the Blaugrana, but hasn’t quite hit the heights.

The 27-year-old has 20 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this season, with four goals and seven assists. Transfermarkt currently has his value set at €50million (£42million).

Pedro Neto transfer

Paul O Keefe has also claimed that Wolves star Pedro Neto is also on the list, having impressed yet again this season. The 23-year-old has two goals and ten assists from 14 Premier League appearances for Wolves so far.

The main concern regarding the Portuguese international has been his injury record, which has seen him miss some action in recent years. Spurs wouldn’t be the only team in the race though, as the Express reported last month that rivals Arsenal have also been following a move.

An important transfer window

Tottenham are building towards something with Ange Postecoglou, with a lot of the squad from previous managers being moved on. A shift towards an exciting and attacking style of play has seen the change in approach when it comes to players required to fulfil their roles.

It means the next transfer window is just as important as the last few when it comes to progressing the team forward. One area that is needed is a one-on-one specialist in the wide areas, with Neto and Raphinha being perfect examples of targets that fit that category.

If they can add there, then perhaps the team can move one step closer to challenging for titles as they’ve been hoping for.
