Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly lining up a move for Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son.

The Tottenham skipper will have just one year remaining on his contract in the summer but has held positive talks with the club over extending his stay.

Heung-min Son has already received interest from Al Ittihad, with the Saudi side also eyeing Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Now, journalist Rudy Galetti claims Saudi Arabian clubs are set to make contact with Son ‘in the coming weeks’.

Saudi clubs lining up move for Son

Galetti took to X on Sunday and claimed that Son is one of a few Premier League stars who are being lined up for a move to the Middle East.

He wrote: “The Saudi negotiator is finalizing details and priorities of the strategic plan for the next transfer market session.

“Contacts with De Bruyne, Salah, Son and Modric – currently considered main targets for the summer – are expected in the coming weeks.”

Despite interest from the Saudi Pro League, we’d be surprised to see Son on the move anytime soon.

It may well be a move he explores further down the line but he remains an integral figure at Hotspur Way.

The 31-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down this season and has excelled since Ange Postecoglou’s arrival over the summer.

After being named the club’s captain back in August, Son has a key role to play in the Postecoglou project at Tottenham. We can’t imagine the Spurs boss would be keen to lose another world-class player after Harry Kane’s departure.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Son put pen to paper before the season ends, especially as the club are likely to be keen to shut down any uncertainty over their skipper’s future.
