Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on attempting to do a deal to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest this summer.
Spurs attempted to sign the midfielder last summer; however, Forest blocked the move after the Lilywhites triggered his secret release clause.
Who should be Roberto De Zerbi’s first Tottenham signing?
Gibbs-White enjoyed another impressive season at the City Ground as he produced 18 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
The North London club could now make a return for the 26-year-old after failing to secure his services last summer.
Tottenham remain interested in Morgan Gibbs-White
Tottenham’s interest remains in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, according to Paul O’Keefe.
The North London club are ready to make a big signing in midfield, with that being one of the pressing issues Roberto De Zerbi must address this summer.
Gibbs-White would be a slightly different midfielder from what is needed at Spurs, but he could still play in a deeper role under De Zerbi.
Tottenham already have number ten options like James Maddison, Xavi Simons, Dejan Kulusevski and Conor Gallagher, so Gibbs-White could be a strange signing.
Right now, it is unclear whether Tottenham will make Joao Palhinha’s move permanent as they look at other midfield options.

At this moment in time, Jan Paul van Hecke and Savinho are the two priorities for the Lilywhites, and then a midfielder will be targeted.
Elliot Anderson could scupper Tottenham’s Morgan Gibbs-White move
However, Elliot Anderson could scupper Tottenham’s Gibbs-White move, as the youngster looks set to join Manchester City for huge money.
Forest are expected to receive a British transfer record fee for the midfielder and would therefore be reluctant to lose another key player.
With £120 million set to enter Forest’s coffers, selling players will be far from a necessity and especially not their talisman and captain.
Tottenham need to do something important in midfield, but it is unlikely that their new signing will be Gibbs-White.
