Radu Dragusin is understandably frustrated with his situation at Tottenham Hotspur, however, the North London club have already decided his future for the January window.
Dragusin’s first year at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been mixed as whilst he has struggled to break into the team, he has shown great levels of performance when he has played.
A recent hamstring injury for Micky van de Ven forced him into Ange Postecoglou’s team over the last two games and he has helped the team to wins over Manchester City and Aston Villa. Now, ahead of the January transfer window, Tottenham have made their decision over his future.

Tottenham have no interest in selling Radu Dragusin
The Spurs News exclusively spoke to transfer insider Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, who said that Radu Dragusin is frustrated with his situation at Tottenham, however, the North London club have no interest in selling him in January.
The Romanian international has made just ten starts since joining the club back in January 2023. Tottenham are not surprised at his situation as they made him well aware he would have to fight for his place in the team, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both ahead of him.
Bailey told The Spurs News: “People are suggesting he’s frustrated, he was brought in as third choice. From what I’m told, Tottenham always made that clear to him he had to fight for his place.”
Napoli have reportedly shown an interest in bringing him back to Serie A just a year on from his move, but at this stage, Spurs are in no rush to move him on.
Tottenham want to sign another centre-back
The Spurs News were also told that Tottenham are looking to add a fourth centre-back at some stage as they aim to bolster Postecoglou’s squad, making a move away for Dragusin even more unlikely.
“They are looking at another centre-back as a fourth choice, most Premier League teams have four centre-backs in their squads, so that’s the role they saw him playing originally,” Bailey told the site.
“So I don’t think they’ll be in a massive hurry, from what I’m hearing, they’re not in a hurry at all to let him go and if they did, they’d have to sign two centre-backs in January because they do want another. I think it’s highly unlikely they sell him in January.”
Despite struggling to establish himself as a starter at Tottenham, Dragusin is still considered a success at the club so far with the the 22-year-old producing impressive performances when called upon. He is a key member of Postecoglou’s squad.
