Tottenham Hotspur have made two signings so far this summer, but now it looks like a third could be in the pipeline.

Spurs have brought Archie Gray to N17 and have also secured the signing of Yang Min-hyuk, though he won’t join the squad until next year.

Tottenham have a pretty good record when it comes to signing exciting prospects, which is never a bad thing.

However, Spurs could also do with bringing in some more experienced players who can go straight into the first team.

Now, it looks as though Tottenham are set to do just that, with a new striker seemingly closing in on a move to N17.

Tottenham set to pay £30m up front for Dominic Solanke

The player in question is Dominic Solanke, who enjoyed a prolific campaign for Bournemouth last time out.

According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham are in advanced talks with the Cherries over a deal to sign the 26-year-old.

Although a release clause of £65million has been mentioned numerous times in the press, Paul O’Keefe has now provided a breakdown of the financials.

The Tottenham insider took to X to report that Spurs have agreed to pay £57million for Solanke, with a £30million fee up front.

“Some minor add-ons” worth around £3million take the overall package to £60million, added O’Keefe.

“Working to complete the deal for striker… who desperately wants to come,” he added.

Better still, O’Keefe’s figures appear to have the Fabrizio Romano seal of approval, courtesy of his reply.

Solanke deal on the right track

It looks as though everything is on the right track to get this deal over the line.

Hopefully it won’t be long before speculation about an agreement – or Romano’s “here we go” – starts doing the rounds.

Postecoglou seems eager to get Solanke to N17, which is good news in terms of how he’ll fit in for Angeball.

All in all, it’ll be exciting to see what happens if/when a deal gets over the line.
