Harry Kane’s past comments on one of Tottenham Hotspur’s latest transfer targets suggest he could be the perfect fit for an Ange Postecoglou team.
Spurs have started making their plans for future transfer windows and have reportedly opened talks with an exciting Premier League star.
Postecoglou will be keen to add players to his team who will buy into playing both ‘the Tottenham way’ and his extreme attacking style, with their latest target feeling like

Could Ange Postecoglou reinvigorate Jack Grealish’s career?
Kane has previously revealed why he loves Manchester City forward and England teammate Jack Grealish as a player. Speaking about the two-time Premier League winger, the England captain revealed that Grealish is a player who is “always looking forward’ – a trait which Spurs boss Postecoglou loves.
Postecoglou is quite possibly the most attacking manager in the Premier League and always encourages his players to play looking forward and with freedom – something Grealish could benefit from.
However, the last two years of the winger’s career at Man City have been tricky with the 29-year-old finding his way out of Pep Guardiola’s plans.
It looks time for the player to potentially move on and Tottenham have been linked with a move for Grealish, with the report claiming talks with his representatives have already begun.
Guardiola seems to have suppressed the former Aston Villa man’s creative instincts which saw him become a £100 million player at Villa Park. Perhaps Postecoglou could be the manager to reinvigorate his career.
Harry Kane’s comments on Jack Grealish
Kane’s words on Grealish are from back in 2021 ahead of Euro 2020, but still highlight how highly regarded he is and why Ange could be the manager to save him.
The Bayern Munich striker told The Overlap back in 2021: “Fantastic player, I love Jack. I love Jack as a player. From when he came in and I started training with Jack, we just had a really good connection. He sees the game the way I think a lot how I see the game, in terms of how he passes and how he moves.
“Always looking forward, always rapping balls in and trusting your team-mates to be able to have the touch and handle it. I think he’s a real player and one who is going to be very special for the future.”
