Tottenham Hotspur have had a successful transfer window so far this summer having brought in four new players.

Tottenham completed a club-record deal for Dominic Solanke as they addressed their need for a new number nine.

Meanwhile, they have also recruited three very promising teenagers with the signings of Wilson Odobert, Archie Gray and Min-Hyuk Yang.

There remains just under two weeks until the transfer deadline on Friday, August 30 at 11 pm with Spurs supporters still keen for more new arrivals.

As we enter the final fortnight of the window, the club’s fans have been told how many more deals they can expect to take place.

Alasdair Gold expects two more Tottenham signings

Alasdair Gold has revealed that he still thinks Tottenham will make another two signings having just completed a deal for Odobert.

The Spurs journalist reckons a left-sided defender and another midfielder are likely to arrive this summer.

The North London club still need cover for Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie, meanwhile, one more midfielder is also required.

Gold is hopeful that Ange Postecoglou’s team move for a more experienced player when targeting midfield with the average age of the Aussie’s Tottenham signings being 21.8.

“In terms of transfers, I still think there will be another couple, I still feel they need someone that can play as cover on the left, both central defence and left-back. In an ideal world you find someone that can do both,” Gold begins.

“I also imagine another midfielder, I do feel like we’ll see another midfielder, maybe an experienced body in that midfield. If it’s another young talent, it’s another young talent, but personally, I’d like to see someone who has a little bit more seasons under their belt.”

Tottenham must replace Oliver Skipp and Yves Bissouma

Signing a new midfielder in the final two weeks of the window must be a priority for Tottenham.

Oliver Skipp is joining Leicester City in a deal worth over £20 million and Yves Bissouma has been suspended by the club for the trip to Leicester City.

With the North London club set to receive a hefty fee for their academy graduate, they must look to reinvest it in a new number six.

Bissouma’s form last season was pretty underwhelming and given his latest off-field controversy, upgrading him will be key.

Spurs need another midfielder who can patrol just in front of the defence and look to keep the team ticking over.

Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to be the player who fills that holding midfield role against Leicester City.
