Tottenham Hotspur look set to offload Oliver Skipp with the midfielder closing in on a move to Leicester City.
Skipp has fallen out of favour under Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham have been open to offers for the 23-year-old.
The Foxes have now made their move to sign the Tottenham academy graduate ahead of their season opener against the North London club.
Oliver Skipp would be unable to feature in the fixture with the deadline to register players for the first gameweek having passed.
Leicester are expected to pay in excess of £20 million to bring Skipp to the King Power Stadium potentially giving Spurs the funds to find a replacement.
With the player now travelling to the Midlands to undergo his medical, Tottenham fans have been a player who would be perfect to replace Skipp.

Tottenham fans identify Joao Gomes as ideal Oliver Skipp replacement
Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes is being discussed by Tottenham fans on social media as the ideal candidate to bolster their midfield.
Spurs are in need of a player who can control the base of their midfield, especially given Yves Bissouma’s suspension.
Now with Skipp heading out the door, the number six position has become even more of a priority and Spurs supporters have taken to X to voice their shouts for Gomes.
One supporter said: “Spurs doing a Liverpool/Arsenal/City signing talent within the league and that almost always ends up good.
A second adds: “Joao Gomes would be a top addition, improves their solution-solving in build-up.”
“Gomes and Gray replacing Hojbjerg and Skipp in one window sounds way too good to be true,” another added.
There were yet more shouts for Gomes, with another fan adding: “Gomes is everything we need in a midfielder. Such a great player.”
Whilst another fan stated: “The definition of an ‘all action eight’. Gomes would be perfect for Ange Ball in every way! Could easily be a starter for us right now!”
Joao Gomes would be perfect for Ange Postecoglou
Gomes would be the perfect player for Postecoglou’s squad as he looks to bolster his midfield options.
The Brazilian enjoyed an impressive breakout campaign in the Premier League last season as he impressed under Gary O’Neil.
However, the 23-year-old is likely to be tricky to prise away from Mollineux given the fact Wolves have already sold Max Kilman and Pedro Neto for large fees.
But Tottenham must do everything in their power to try and land the midfielder who could fill several roles for Postecoglou.
Gomes has many strong attributes to play in the number six role having made more tackles than any other Premier League player (130) since the start of last season.
Bissouma’s latest off-field antics and Skipp’s impending departure will have only accelerated Spurs’ desire to sign another midfielder this summer.
