Tottenham could capitalise on a mistake from their rivals Chelsea to land a talented star in the summer transfer market.
Spurs are preparing for their next steps under Ange Postecoglou, with the manager impressing during his first year in charge at the club.
An exciting style of play is already in place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, though some fine-tuning is required.
Some of those improvements will come in the form of the summer transfer window, with signings and exits likely to impact the squad available.
While Tottenham have already signed Archie Gray, as well as Lucas Bergvall, plenty more is required to stay competitive.
That’s where a unique market opportunity for Tottenham could appear thanks to their London rivals Chelsea.

Tottenham should sign Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah
A huge opportunity for a Premier League club this summer could be the chance to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea.
The 25-year-old looks set for an exit from the Blues this summer after being left out of their pre-season tour squad to visit the USA.
Reports from Fabrizio Romano claim that Chelsea are open to selling the defender this summer for the region of £30million.
While Postecoglou has some cover at centre-back, with options of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin, there are clear reasons to add Chalobah to his list as well.
With all three players missing from pre-season, the lack of depth beyond those options is stark and another injury or suspension crisis would call for more players.
On top of that, Chalobah isn’t only a central defender as he has plenty of experience at right-back as well as midfield.
In an ideal price range, age range and homegrown status, it makes sense from a squad-building perspective.
When it comes to his overall skillset, Chalobah is a tall defender who is capable of timing his challenges well.
The Chelsea academy graduate is more than comfortable with the ball at his feet and his consistency in performances means his potential exit is something of a shock.
Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter even labelled him as a “soldier” in a post-match interview in 2022, saying: “He’s an impressive character, very focused on his football.
“He’s a bit of a soldier. He’s played in all the games, we’re having some problems in terms of availability for players, but he’s stood up, stood in and he’s performing at a really good level.”
It remains to be seen if a deal will be agreed for Tottenham, but it’s a chance to bolster their backline even further.
Tottenham transfer exits
While moving for Chalobah could be a smart move, it would also likely come as a result of more transfer exits.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is one player who has left Tottenham this summer, joining Olympique Marseille and leaving an extra place in the midfield open.
At right-back, Emerson Royal looks set to leave Tottenham too, which would open yet more space for Chalobah to fill.
In all, it would see a move away from fringe players struggling for minutes to options that can cover multiple positions.
