Finding a new poster boy has not been a difficult task for Tottenham Hotspur.
Son Heung-min was Spurs‘ main man — taking that mantle from Harry Kane after his move to Bayern Munich in 2023 — but the forward left the club to join Los Angeles FC in the summer.
In the same transfer window, Tottenham signed a couple of big players after landing both Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus.
However, there is only one man who deserves to be the new face of the club, and it is not hard to guess who.

Cristian Romero now the new face of Tottenham
Cristian Romero is one of the best things about Tottenham. The 27-year-old is a passionate and aggressive defender who is now club captain.
Perhaps Romero is a little bit too aggressive at times, but Spurs fans will not want him to take that out of his game. It is one reason why the Argentine is such a good centre-half.
Romero could have fought for an exit in the summer after interest from Atletico Madrid, but instead, he decided to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and sign a new contract. It was a lesson in loyalty and another reason why Spurs can use him as their poster boy following Son’s exit.

Right now, Romero is playing alongside Micky van de Ven at the heart of Thomas Frank’s defence, but he could get a new centre-back partner in the future.
It is thought that Tottenham will track Jan Paul van Hecke this season as they weigh up making a move for the Brighton & Hove Albion man in the new year.

Thomas Frank hails Cristian Romero as ‘one of the best centre-backs’ in the Premier League
Romero’s manager Frank is a huge fan of his, putting him up there with the very best central defenders in the Premier League.
“For me, he’s one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and, to have him locked down long-term, every fan, me, staff, should be extremely happy,” Frank was quoted as saying by Tottenham’s official club website after Romero’s new deal was announced.
Romero’s contract does not expire until 2029, which may help to keep Atletico and others at bay over the next couple of transfer windows.
