Igor Tudor must make Guglielmo Vicario call that will be popular with Tottenham fans after Arsenal loss

Guglielmo Vicario played for Tottenham as Arsenal once again claimed North London derby bragging rights with a 4-1 win in the Premier League.

The Italian goalkeeper has been the subject of some criticism from Tottenham fans across this season, with some reservations over whether the club could be doing better between the posts.

Give us YOUR three-word reaction to that Tottenham performance vs Arsenal😡

Vicario has made a number of errors for Tottenham, and it’s not unfair to say that he doesn’t look like an elite goalkeeper and has never really shown anything close to being one.

Now, after another shocking showing and four more goals conceded against Arsenal, the time has come for Igor Tudor to make a really big call in the early stages of his time in North London.

Tudor must make brutal Vicario call

The head coach hasn’t been in place in North London too long, and this was a baptism of fire as far as his first game in the Premier League goes.

He will quickly need to learn about his players, and perhaps the time has now come for Tudor to drop his goalkeeper and place Antonin Kinsky between the posts for the remainder of the season.

Who Scored gave Vicario a 5.3 out of 10 for his efforts, and he made just two saves, which, in a game where he let four goals in, is pretty drab.

Kinsky was kept at the club despite interest from West Ham in the January transfer window, and he will be desperate to play some games between now and the end of the season.

Inter want Vicario

It’s been reported that Inter are keen to sign Vicario, and as a result, it looks likely that that interest will remain this summer, giving Tottenham lots to think about.

Letting the stopper leave looks like the right thing to do, and Spurs have to attract a far better custodian if they’re to start competing for European places once again.

Vicario just isn’t a solid enough goalkeeper, and with Spurs in grave danger of slipping into the bottom three, it really is time for Tudor to consider a change.

Tottenham fans would consider the decision to drop Vicario universally popular and after his latest subpar performance, the new head coach has a big decision to make.
