Tottenham Hotspur are edging closer and closer to the signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff have made it clear that a centre-half was the top priority in the January window and it appears they are inches away from securing their candidate at Hotspur Way.
The Romanian centre-half is now just ‘one step away‘ from joining the ranks at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
If he’s anything like Tottenham’s previous Serie A pickups – he could be an absolute star.

The Serie A has treated Tottenham Hotspur nicely
Two players Postecgolou has brought into the first-team squad from the Serie A at the beginning of his tenure were Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie.
Tottenham completed the signing of Vicario from Empoli in a deal worth an initial £17.2m. This went massively under the radar considering his performances this season.
As for Udogie, he was initially signed under Antonio Conte in August 2022. However, he was loaned back to Udinese for the season, and after impressing, the Aussie gaffer decided he was ready for the starting XI in North London.
Two great choices. Tottenham acquired two of the best young talents in Italy and they’ve gone on to reap the rewards in England. But, it doesn’t stop there.
Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur were also two inspired pickups. Juventus’ ‘trash’ became Spurs’ treasure, with the two coming in on loan from Turin on the deadline day of January 2023.
They were both electric and have since been kept on permanent. We think Dragusin could follow this pattern of stardom.
Radu Dragusin… destined for Tottenham stardom?
If history is set to repeat itself, Tottenham could have a class act on their hands.
Hailing from the Italian league, if his ability does follow suit of his Tottenham predecessors – Spurs fans have a reason to get excited.
Dragusin is already showing unbelievable talent for Genoa at the age of just 21. He has won more aerial duels than any other defender in Serie A so far this season and has only been dribbled past once!
At just £25m, he could be an absolute steal. Will they get it over the line?
