Welcome to 2024, Tottenham Hotspur fans – it should be a good one.

If you’d have asked any fan of Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of 2023 how optimistic they were moving forward, they’d have probably given you a rather cautious answer.

Now, as 2024 starts, the club appears in safe hands. Ange Postecoglou is at the helm, dictating his squad of players with fantastic talent coursing through their ranks such as James Maddison, Son Heung-Min and so many more.

They currently sit 5th in the Premier League and will continue to fight this calendar year for a Champions League spot. The players must be up for the task, just like they have been so far.

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville best Premier League XIs so far

Thanks to Tottenham’s fantastic start to the 23/24 campaign, Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have both decided to include multiple players that reside at Hotspur Way in their ‘Best Premier League XIs so far.’

Both of the pair decided to include Destiny Udogie and Son Heung-Min.

Udogie has been the breakout star of Tottenham’s season. The 21-year-old full-back has established himself as an essential part of the squad and has filled the gap in what has been a problem position for Spurs over many years now.

The captain, Son Heung-Min, is also back to his best self. The South Korean’s form is reminiscent of his younger years, and Spurs fans are loving every minute of it.

Jamie Carragher picks Guglielmo Vicario, but Gary Neville thinks otherwise…

Carragher also picked Spurs’ new goalkeeper for between the sticks. Guglielmo Vicario signed for Tottenham for £17.2m this year and has been mightily impressive as the last line of the defence at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Not impressive enough, apparently, for Gary Neville – who opted for Liverpool shot-stopper Allison instead.

A few Spurs players were unlucky to miss out. Pedro Porro has arguably been the best defender in the Premier League this season, and James Maddison without the injury would have been a shoo-in.

Nevertheless, three out of 11 is seriously impressive. You can check out both pundit’s full sides below.
