Tottenham’s summer transfer business is starting to ramp up as Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his squad for the new Premier League season.
The Spurs manager is preparing for his second campaign at the helm in North London, with hopes of improving on his first.
The Lilywhites finished fifth last season, showing some impressive signs of Postecoglou’s footballing philosophy, but after enduring a tough run of injuries and results they slipped out of the Champions League qualification picture.
This time around, Tottenham will be keen to book a place back in the top four and end their long wait for another trophy.
Plenty of changes have been made to the squad, with Archie Gray joining from Leeds United, while Lucas Bergvall officially made the switch from Djurgarden.
Some key exits were secured before Dominic Solanke moved to Tottenham in a £65million deal from AFC Bournemouth.
Plans to strengthen may not stop there though, with another midfield option potentially available after some transfer twists down the road at Chelsea.

Tottenham handed potential Conor Gallagher transfer chance
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Conor Gallagher for some time now, with the Chelsea star clearly admired.
The England international has just one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge and possesses the energy required for Postecoglou’s style.
A deal seemed beyond the reach of Spurs though, once Chelsea had agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid for the midfielder.
An update to that transfer would see striker Samu Omorodion move the other way, however there has been a twist.
Fabrizio Romano reports that a deal that would see the centre-forward switch clubs has collapsed.
It remains to be seen if another player may be offered the other way, but with funds tight, it could halt Gallagher’s move too.
If it does and Chelsea are still in a position to sell the midfielder, then Tottenham may be able to pounce and land their long-term target.

Should Tottenham hijack a deal for Conor Gallagher?
With a deal potentially in the balance, Tottenham have a chance to bolster their ranks by hijacking the move for Gallagher.
Speaking back in February, Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for the midfielder stating: “I think he is a player with a great commitment to the team.
“He is always trying to compensate in every situation, in offensive and defensive situations. It’s priceless to have a player like him.”
That matches the exact profile of player, from technical attributes to attitude, that Postecoglou is looking to sign.
The only thing countering that may well be the other players available as new recruits Bergvall and Gray will be looking for valuable minutes in those midfield roles.
