Tottenham Hotspur have added five new players to their squad this summer during a busy transfer window.

Dominic Solanke was acquired for a club-record fee from Bournemouth in a deal worth around £65 million.

Spurs’ other four additions have all been teenagers with Lucas Bergvall arriving from the Swedish top flight and Archie Gray signed for a substantial fee from Leeds United.

The North London club’s latest addition has been 19-year-old Wilson Odobert from Burnley with the young winger looking like a top prospect.

One player Tottenham fans will have to wait to see is Yang Min-hyeok who will remain on loan at Gangwon FC until January.

The young South Korean star has remained in the K-League until the winter transfer window and is helping his team push for the league title.

The 18-year-old’s performances have not gone unnoticed and he has just been handed an award which highlights the magnitude of his talent.

Yang Min-hyeok secures K-League Player of the Month

Tottenham’s loanee Yang Min-hyeok has just been named the K-League Player of the Month for July.

The teenager becomes the first player to win the award in his debut season as a professional.

His three goals and one assist for Gangwon were enough to clinch him the award, along with his team winning three out of their five matches in July.

Gangwon are currently on course to create history by winning the K-League title for the first time in their history.

Just six games remain in the South Korean top flight and Yang’s team sit four points clear at the top of the table.

The winger could cap off a crazy season which saw him sign for Tottenham by also helping guide Gangwon to a first-ever K-League title.

Tottenham must address need for ready-made stars

Four of Tottenham’s last five signings have all been teenagers with the North Londoners focused on building a team for the future.

Add in some of the exciting Spurs academy stars coming through and the future certainly looks very bright.

Signing exciting young talents like Yang is all well and good, however, Ange Postecoglou needs players added to his Tottenham squad who already have experience under their belt.

In their frustrating 1-1 draw with Leicester City, the team was missing players who were willing to take responsibility.

When Jamie Vardy netted the equaliser for the Foxes and the noise inside the King Power rose, Postecoglou’s team wilted under the pressure.

Adding one or two more senior players in the final fortnight of the summer transfer window needs to be the aim for Daniel Levy and the recruitment team.
