Yang Min-hyeok has been speaking to Korean television about his move to Tottenham Hotspur following the end of the K-League season.

Yang will officially join Spurs on January 1, however, the North London club have asked for him to arrive before that date to start preparing for life in London.

The 18-year-old has been a huge success in the Korean top division which convinced Spurs to invest £3 million to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Now, ahead of his move to Tottenham, the winger has been discussing when he is due in London and what his new club have been telling him.

When is Yang Min-hyeok due to join Tottenham?

Yang Min-hyeok has revealed that Tottenham have asked him to arrive in London sooner than originally planned to start getting used to life in a new city.

The teenager will not be able to play and train with Ange Postecoglou’s team until the start of 2025 when his contract with the club officially commences.

Yang told Yonhap News Agency: “I will leave (for England) on December 16. Tottenham wanted me to come over early. So I will take some time off before heading over. I will focus on getting acclimated as soon as possible.”

Yang’s arrival in North London will come as a welcomed boost to Postecoglou’s squad given the long-term injuries to Wilson Odobert and Richarlison.

What are Yang Min-hyeok’s 2024 season stats?

Gangwon FC won on the final day of the K-League season to record their highest-ever finish in the Korean top division.

Yang has played a major role in them being so successful this season with his goal-scoring exploits firing them up the table.

The youngster managed to produce 12 goals and five assists in 37 league appearances for Gangwon and claimed one Player of the Month award.

Yang is unlikely to make an immediate impact at Tottenham, although it is clear Spurs have managed to land themselves a hugely talented player.
