Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has seriously impressed TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent this season.
The Senegal international has become an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans in north London this season.
And it is apparent Pape Matar Sarr is doing enough to have changed Bent’s mind with his displays so far.

Bent impressed by Pape Matar Sarr
It has been a breakout season for the 21-year-old in north London with the arrival of Postecoglou providing him fresh opportunities in the starting XI.
Sarr has already racked up 23 appearances in the Premier League this season with 19 of those coming from the starting XI.
And he returned to the fold on Sunday against Aston Villa after struggling with a back issue since arriving back in England from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking about the 21-year-old and the cross he provided for James Maddison’s opener, Bent said: “You know what, Sarr was one of those where I was like, ‘hmm’. But, this season… what about his cross on for Maddison’s goal, wow!”

Roy Keane also impressed
Following the game against Villa on the weekend, it was apparent it was not just Bent who was left impressed by the 21-year-old.
When you receive praise from Roy Keane, you know you are doing something right.
And that is exactly what Sarr got on Sunday with the former Manchester United midfielder saying his cross was one of the ball’s of the season.
Sarr’s performances have been so encouraging this season that he is keeping the experienced Rodrigo Bentancur out of the XI.
Postecoglou has some serious options in the middle of the pitch now at Spurs, but it seems the 21-year-old has already established himself as one of the starters.
Antonio Conte barely gave him a sniff last season, despite his stunning display in the Champions League at the San Siro.
It just goes to show how far a little bit of trust from the manager can go with Sarr surely becoming one of the most underrated midfielders in the league.
His teammates are also clearly impressed with what he is doing this season with Maddison singing his praise on Sunday.
