The referee in the middle for Tottenham’s trip to Galatasaray will be Lawrence Visser, as per UEFA announcements.

The 34-year-old Belgian usually takes charge of Jupiler Pro League matches in Belgium alongside Europa League action and Nations League outings for international football.

In eight Jupiler Pro League games this season, Visser has dished out 35 yellow cards, four red cards and one penalty kick.

In one Europa League game, the referee has handed out four yellow cards and in two Conference League matches he has handed out 11 yellow cards and one red card.

It suggests that players will have to be on their best behaviour when the game kickstarts.

Match officials and VAR for Galatasaray vs Tottenham

While Visser will start the match from the centre circle, he will have three main assistants on the sidelines to help with decisions.
