Tottenham fans will hate what Paul Pogba just said about them, Ange Postecoglou can make him eat his words

Paul Pogba hasn’t exactly had the last few years of his career he would have anticipated when becoming a footballer.

The former Manchester United star was banned from football for four years for a doping offence back in September 2023, which may have all but ended his career at the top as a now 31-year-old.

More recently, however, he’s had this reduced. Pogba’s doping ban was cut down to 18 months after the Juventus midfielder’s argument that his ingestion of a banned substance ‘was not intentional”.

A return to a big club may now be on the cards. That club, probably won’t be Tottenham Hotspur, given what the Frenchman has just said about the fans.

Paul Pogba mocks Tottenham fan with IShowSpeed

Pogba has a lot of time to kill at the moment, and it appears the World Cup-winning midfielder is spending some time delving into the world of streaming, appearing on arguably the most famous Twitch streamer in the world’s channel – IShowSpeed.

They got up to all sorts of antics, including ringing fans – in which one was a follower of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

He made the claim to ex-Red Devil Pogba that ‘Tottenham are better than Manchester United’, to which the 31-year-old didn’t exactly agree.

Pogba replied: “When Spurs win a trophy, then you can come back!”

Ange Postecoglou to prove Paul Pogba wrong for Tottenham?

Postecoglou has a habit of winning a trophy in his second season, so could he finally get Tottenham some silverware and make Pogba eat his words?

Speaking before Spurs’ Carabao Cup tie at Coventry, Postecoglou said: “In my 26 years of managing, I’ve had success and most of that has come in the second year, not all of it. Sometimes it’s happened in the first year, sometimes in the third year.

“I’ll correct myself – I don’t usually win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing’s changed.”

In his second season, Postecoglou won the Australian title with both South Melbourne and Brisbane Roar, and the Japanese league with Yokohama F Marinos.

He also won the Asian Cup two years after becoming Australia manager, and the Scottish Premiership in both seasons with Celtic.
