Tottenham Hotspur have done very well in recent years with regards to signing young gems and turning them into stars.
Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie arrived at Spurs as relative unknowns, but both are now established Premier League stars.
Tottenham have also signed the likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert, all of whom are already in the first-team picture.
Then there’s the Spurs academy graduates, with Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear also playing first-team football under Ange Postecoglou.
Better still, Tottenham aren’t done yet. Next year will see some more top youngsters arrive at N17, not to mention several great on-loan talents will return.
One player who’s set to arrive at Spurs at the start of 2025 is Yang Min-hyeok, who has been dazzling for K League 1 side Gangwon FC.
Indeed, the Tottenham-bound winger has done so well that he won the K League 1’s Young Player of the Year award, along with making the best XI of the season.

Tottenham-bound Yang Min-Hyeok ‘nearly unanimous’ as K League 1 Player of the Year winner
The K League website explained just how well Yang has done this season and how highly he was rated by fellow players, coaches and the media.
‘Gangwon FC’s rising star Yang Min-hyuk was named the 2024 K League 1 Young Player of the Year,’ they wrote on their official website.
‘Receiving nearly unanimous votes with 11 votes from coaches, 10 from team captains, and 115 from the media.
‘A product of Gangwon’s youth system, Yang Min-hyuk made his K League debut this season under a semi-professional contract.
‘Starting as a regular from the opening match, he notched an assist just 32 seconds in and went on to play in all 38 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists.
‘Yang shattered Gangwon’s youngest records in appearances, goals, and goal contributions, establishing himself as the club’s next big talent. Mid-season, he transitioned to a full professional contract.
‘His consistent performance throughout the season helped Gangwon secure a runner-up finish, and he earned an MVP nomination in his debut season.
‘Yang became only the second player in K League history to win Young Player of the Year during their rookie season, following Kim Min-jae (then of Jeonbuk) in 2017.’
Yang also named in K League 1 best XI
Yang was also named in the K League 1’s best XI of the season, showing he wasn’t just the best youngster, but one of the best players in the league overall.
The K League website said of the Spurs-bound gem: ‘Yang was named both Young Player of the Year and a Best XI midfielder, solidifying his breakout season.
‘He played all 38 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists, earning overwhelming votes across all categories.’
Yang will officially join Spurs on 1 January. However, the North London club have asked for him to arrive before that date to start preparing for life in London.
He told Yonhap News Agency earlier in November: “I will leave (for England) on December 16.
“Tottenham wanted me to come over early. So I will take some time off before heading over. I will focus on getting acclimated as soon as possible.”
